glossy-templates provide a replacement for the core grails 1.3.4 scaffolding templates and contain some of the missing features and improve the user experience. To get a first impression of the templates, take a look at the TemplateFeatures, the ConstraintExamples and the InstallationInstructions. This screen shows, how your application will look like without doing any CSS customizing on your own. The second screen shows what is possible with the glossy templates, if you use the CSS customizing options.
