The program, inspired by BlueJ, is intended to be a simple to use, lightweight IDE for the Groovy programming language. It will allow users with no prior programming experience and an average level of computer literacy to write, run and debug programs as soon as they start learning basic programming principles and Groovy. It will also facilitate the learning process by presenting certain programming concepts in a comprehensible form.
The IDE will be developed as an MEng individual project at the Department of Computer Science of the University College London. This means that all or most of design and implementation will be done by myself – a fourth-year undergraduate student – under the guidance and supervision of a member of the department"s academic staff.
At this point, contribution mostly in the form of coding specific parts of the software, testing and evaluation is more than welcome. However, since this is my MEng project, I have
