Pacmon (or "pacman monitor") is an application for Arch Linux that notifies the user of available updates for packages installed on the system. It runs in the background, and will display a small icon in the Tray, or Notification Area, when an update is available. In addition, a libnotify tooltip will be displayed if the user has the proper libraries installed.
