Captivate Gingerbread GPS Tweaks
This is a package of tweaks and modifications to GPS configuration on Samsung Captivate under Gingerbread.
Tested under KH3 (Pinnacle, Captivate I897 2.3.4) but is derived from XXJVS 2.3.5 and should work on any I-897/I-9000 Gingerbread ROM/modem. WILL NOT WORK WITH FROYO ROMs.
Localizing for your Country/Region
This version is localized for North America. As the North American pool is about 90% US-based servers anyway, this setting is likely adequate for most users throughout North America. If desired, NTP localization can be changed by editing line 1 of /etc/gps.conf to the desired NTP server. See http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/@ for server details.
