This is a Gnome panel applet, written in pygtk, to convert currencies. Its primary advantage is that no internet access is required to use it, which is often convenient while traveling. The tradeoff is a slight inconvenience in obtaining the exchange rates. Read the README file!

Installation:
Requires pygtk-2.0 or greater.
Download, gunzip and untar
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr/
$ make
$ sudo make install
Restart Gnome
Add to panel
