What is acerwificontroller
acerwificontroller is a Gnome2 applet that acts as a frontend for the acer\_acpi(see http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi) and acerhk (http://www.cakey.de/acerhk) kernel modules.
The applet allows users to enable/disable the wireless device on Acer laptops(and any other acer_acpi supported laptop) just by clicking on the applet icon.
