High content cell imaging experiments generate large datasets which are often stored in an ad-hoc manner. Our investigations of the NF-κB signalling system have led to the development of a data model, along with data capture and retrieval solutions to provide efficient management of experimental metadata and results for high content cell imaging, presented here. As well retrieving experiments by metadata searches, automatic annotation of results allows retrieval of experiments whose results match specified criteria.
