NLBdirekte is a solution for streaming (progressive downloads) DAISY 2.02 audio books over the internet, developed by The Norwegian Library of Talking Books and Braille (NLB) in 2010-2011. The player are written to be used by NLBs patrons, but should be easy to adapt for others who wish to use it as well.
A goal of the project is to use open web standards as much as possible.
The player uses SoundManager 2 for audio playback using HTML5 or Flash and jQuery Mobile for the user interface. The user interface can in principle we disconnected from the player, in which case the player only depends on jQuery core.
