BrainStream provides an open-source, MATLAB-based environment for definition and execution of BCI experiments.
Key concept is that incoming markers in the data stream dynamically determine the actions of the system. Users can predefine a user variable space and a variety of actions for incoming markers, each with different options for the exact timing of execution.
BrainStream integrates well with popular MATLAB-based analysis toolboxes, such as Fieldtrip (http://www.ru.nl/neuroimaging/fieldtrip) and EEGLab (http://sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab).
