Drawing arcs in PHP currently has some limitations:
arcs can only be one pixel thick
alpha-colours are not supported if the user wants to produce a thick arc.
EllipseArc is an attempt to remedy these issues. It supports the following shapes

Arcs: regular arcs with start and end angles
Chords: the inner arc tips are connected by a straight line. The inner arc is not drawn.
TrueChords: an imaginary "tchord" line cuts the shape between the outer tips. Part of the shape on either side of this line is truncated. If the line crosses through the inner arc, a "C" shape is produced, otherwise a "D" shape is produced.
