Jairou is a super light weight Java framework that provides full-featured support for modern web application development. It can run as a stand-alone framework for developing traditional MVC web applications or as a server side layer in tandem with popular AJAX/Rich UI frameworks such as JQuery, ExtJS and the GWT.
Jairou delivers simple, high performance, server side support in an extremely small package; The current binary distribution is a mere 31KB. Jairou is fully configurable via XML and allows you to develop your business logic and data access layers with little or no additional Java Code. In fact, with Jairou, it is possible to develop a full featured web-based application without a single line of Java Code. Additionally, Jairou leverages the embedded scripting support of JDK 1.6 allowing you to write custom business logic entirely in Javascript if you choose.
