Orbito is a simulator that aims to predict the motion and interaction of rigid bodies given any set of initial parameters. It is not intended as a heavy duty simulator in any way, but is rather an attempt to explore and test simple physics of bodies in motion, such as that of our very own solar system.
This project also serves as a demonstration on how to write a basic animator and a simulator that can be used in simple games that are dependent upon prediction of motion using a numerical integrator, e.g. that of the classic Runge Kutta method.
This project is maintained by Olai Solheim of Uni. Oslo, with contributions from Martin S. Welle and Torbjørn Smidt.
