SOML (Simple Object Markup Language) is designed to serve as a markup language which provides a simpler and more readable syntax than XML, while still providing more powerful features such as tag-nesting which are lacking from INI-style formats. SOML also aims to be simple to parse, allowing software based on various systems, languages and design methodologies to use it effectively. Parsers written in C#, Python, and C++, are available under the downloads tab. The API for each can be found under the Wiki tab. Both the format specification and all the parsers are licensed under the GNU GPL v3 license, and are provided with all the freedoms implied therein.
