This project hosts a couple of libraries related to Photon-, Neutron-, and Ion-scattering (PNI). These libraries should simplify the development of PNI related software.
History
The libraries are the result of two years of code development within the HDRI project at DESY. Originally there where only two libraries: libpniutils and libpninx. The former one provided data types and some additional functionalyt. The later one provided a new C++ API to read and write HDF5 files following the Nexus standard. After about two years of development the original names of the libraries did no longer reflect their functionality properly. Thus the libraries where renamed and the code within them reorganized and moved from their original sourceforge repositories to this new project site.

Most of the code is written in C++. However, python-bindings exist to those C++ libraries.
