Ubuntu Systems Management is designed to manage hardware and software on multiple computers in a business environment. It is designed for small-medium sized business environments that are using some form of central authentication (e.g. ldap, ad, etc.).
Currently USM is in very early development stages but some lightly functional downloads should be available shortly.
Both GTK and Web interfaces are planned for development but currently USM is only available as a command line program.
Code
Ubuntu Systems Management is written in Python and relies on nmap for computer discovery and ssh as its deployment method. Software policies will be enforced by using generated bash scripts that will automatically fetch software in a given repository.
