Show Tags is a free Python open-source application with a GUI-based control interface that provides a picture of internal music file structural characteristics. The primary mission of Show Tags is to enable viewing and editing select ID3v2.x formatted MP3 music file meta data for your own personal use and enjoyment. In addition, Show Tags can optionally be configured to utilize the REST-style API services of an external music recommendation service to assist in classifying artist and song data. The application is initially written as a stand-alone Gnome-based application for the Linux platform.
Show Tags exists as a related companion to another personal creation by the name of Get Net Stream. In fact, it was the resultant output of an early rendition of Get Net Stream that created the need for Show Tags and its mp3 music file meta-data editing capability.
