Introduction
Get Net Stream is a free Python open-source application that provides a GUI-based control interface on top of the exceptional utility Streamripper. The application is initially written as a stand-alone Gnome-based application for the Linux platform.
The primary mission of Get Net Stream is to capture Internet radio streams with the Streamripper utility for personal use. Get Net Stream exists as a related companion to another personal creation by the name of ShowTags. In fact, it was the resultant output of an early rendition of Get Net Stream that created the need for ShowTags and its mp3 music file meta-data editing capability.
