If you want to render animations in Povray and you have a computer with more than one core or processor, this tool might be useful for you. When you start the rendering of an animation with SUPA, it will render several frames simultaneously relying on your OS to spread the rendering processes over several CPU. You can determine the number of frames that should be rendered in parallel depending on the the number of cores/processors in your machine.
This will probably become obsolete with the parallel version of Povray (3.7, I believe) but until then it is a useful little tool for speeding up rendering. It is written in JAVA, so it runs on many platforms but requires a Povray executable that can be started from the command line with arguments. I tested it on Linux and on MacOS Tiger (with the unix version of Povray installed using Fink). It should also work on Windows using Cygwin and the unix version of povray.
