kungkhies offers solutions to the two major problems facing teaching and learning in the network era: how to find teaching and learning resources to satisfy particular intended learning outcomes; and how to assess their quality and usefulness.
A kungkhie can be looked at as a directed graph constructed of two types of nodes: cognitive hole nodes (or competence nodes) and activity nodes.
Each cognitive hole node is associated with one or more intended learning outcomes. Cognitive hole nodes are connected by activity nodes. A learner gains knowledge by moving to a higher node in the diagram by carrying out an activity.
