Joel Spolskys famous EBS spreadsheet (read http://www.joelonsoftware.com) for task planning and keeping a crisp track of where a project is at and - even better - how far a project was under- or over estimated. EBS means Evidence Based Scheduling, which means you keep your original estimates throughout the projekt while updating only the current estimes. This gives you the so called EBS factor which represents the accuracy of you estimate for future estimates.
Joel online wraps this into a handy web app and adds features to it such as sharing projects, inviting people to use it and share projects plus manage multiple projects in one "spreadsheet".
For missing features Joel provides a very neat plugin extension to extend the backend/API and the html/javascript web client. If anyone likes a fancy Flash-Client more than HTML/Javascript, the API is a pure RESTful JSON Api, so can be used with any RIA technology that c
