Sandhana is a web services security project which enable cross domain authentication and richer federated identity for web services. This project consist of two parts : implementing WS-Federation specification on Apache Rampart which is the security module for Apache Axis2 (JAVA) security engine and the second part is introduction of OpenID authentication for web services.
WS-Federation specification is at the top of the WSS- specification stack. Basically the WS-Federation is extending the usability of WS-Trust framework across security domains while introducing richer set of security services and models to build secure federated web services systems. Federation metadata model, Authorization service, Attribute service and Pseudonym service discussed the WS-Federation specification are implemented in this project.
