Written entirely in Java and using the Apache SSHD to Provide the SSH functionality. The default Apache SSHD SFTP subsystem is replaced by a custom version.
Extra features include:
SFTP access to multiple file system types including iRODS
Optional Buffering of reading and writing of files to improve transfer speed when accessing remote file systems
Optional Multi-threaded support for file I/O, also to improve transfer speeds
