Thematic Montage Builder and Thematic Illustrator.
The Thematic Montage Builder constructs media montages from digital media collections for given themes and subject matter. Flickr is the only currently implemented media source although any digital collection with appropriate metadata could be used. The project also contains the Thematic Illustrator which will automatically illustrate a story to emphasize core themes if given the correct metadata.
The thematic model used to create xml representations of themes for this code base is based on the model developed as part of this PhD: http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/273228/ data evaluating the effectiveness of the model and this application can also be found within that PhD thesis.
The project is implemented as a set of reusable library functions which are currently exposed using command line tools.
