Loesje-of-the-day is an app (widget) for your Android phone or tablet that displays the current Loesje poster shown on the Loesje home page (the one on the electricity box, which updates about once a week -- although the app name suggests otherwise). It can be installed on your home screen just like the clock and weather widgets.
Once a day, it checks the Loesje website for a new poster. For this, it uses your internet connection (and therefore asks you for this permission when you install it).
As of yet, this is all the functionality there is. Perhaps in the future, it could do things like:
* showing posters from the current (Dutch/international) monthly series
* showing random posters from the archives
* social functionality (sharing/liking)
