NooLabGlue is a message-oriented middleware (yet another one;) to link applications or components as parts of applications. It differs significantly from other approaches (as far as we know).
The paradigm is inspired by natural neural systems. Thus, its emphasis is not mainly on throughput; instead, NooLabGlue tries to support the associative, probabilistic, adaptive linking of a growing population of Self-Organizing Maps.
Yet, traditional software (components) in need for a messaging-based integration is also supported. Naturally, NooLabGlue is a framework for massively parallel and cascaded systems, where parallelity may occur at any level.
Some of the key differences (at least in this combination) to P2P, JMS, XMP or MQ frameworks are:
* messaging may be considered (but need not) as transactions;
* a set of transactions can be returned in an aligned manner, such forming a super-transaction, or, viewed top-down, forming a distributed transaction, where nodes can disco
