Python 2.7.4 for Windows.
The mingw-gcc compiler is used and both 32 bit and 64 bit code are supported. Binaries are available. The build environment uses CMake and must be run from Linux to cross compile the two sets of Windows binaries (32 and 64 bit).
This is a staging area with the goal of getting these changes accepted into the python development branch.
However the Python a-mingw-us binaries are quite useful now, and are used by the KiCad EDA project to support scripting, and can be used as a general purpose replacement for the MSVC compiled Windows Python.
This project"s founders are KiCad developers, and we are looking for project leaders to take over Python a-mingw-us so we can continue to focus on KiCad.
The license is listed as Other Open Source license, but since our intent is to merge this into python over time, we would like to say it is the PSF license.
