Welcome to DSGridSim project
Resource management is critical in Grid systems. Generally most of the contributions in this area are carried out under the assumption that there is one primary centralised scheduling system. However, as environments tend towards larger open Grids, it becomes increasingly likely that deployments will involve multiple independent schedulers that work allocating jobs over the same resources.
In this site we released our alpha version of DSGridSim, a simulation framework designed to supports studies of scheduling strategies on environments with multiple independent schedulers, each serving a subset of users and able to place jobs over the same resources in parallel with no central oversight.
For the implementation of this framework we have used the SMPL simulation tool, which is a C/C++ library for building discrete-event simulation models. DSGridSim allows modeling and simulation of entities like users, schedu
